A ONE-WOMAN-ART SHOW is being displayed at MyBank in Rio Communities through June 30. The artist, Jean Stone, is showing varied watercolor paintings.
BELEN ART LEAGUE has formed a youth division, with classes every Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. for students in grades 7-12 at the Belen Art Gallery on Becker Avenue. AN INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION will be held at the Belen Senior Center from 10 a.m. to noon. Music will be played by Alegres de Belen, with a guest appearance by Mayela and Mile Silva. THE LOS LUNAS FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION begins with a parade, which starts at 9 a.m., from the Valencia “Y” to city hall. Entertainment begins at 4 p.m. at Daniel Fernandez Memorial Park with El Gringo, A.J. Martinez and El Trio Los Gallos. The Home Run Derby will be at 5 p.m., the men’s softball all-star game will be at 6 p.m. at the fireworks show will be held at dusk. Applications to participate in the parade are available.
