Jane Shryack Chavez
Jane Shryack Chavez, age 62, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 1.
She was a member of San Clemente Catholic Church, Tierra Del Sol Country Club and Valencia County Board of Realtors.
She was born in Streator, Ill., moved to Gallup in 1959 and graduated from Gallup High School. She married Gerald Chavez, the love of her life, in 1967.
Jane raised her family and was co-founder of Gerald Chavez Realty in Los Lunas. She loved golf, taking pictures and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Virginia Shryack. Jane is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Chavez; son, Gerald “Chopper” Chavez, Jr.; daughter, Clarissa Chavez-Rivera; grandsons, Johnathan and Jacob Rivera; son-in-law, Victor Rivera; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Ken Dorrity; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Aggie Shryack; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pete and Rose Chavez, Manuel and Pila Marquez, Phil and Roberta Archuleta, Ambrose and Mildred Chavez, Ruben and Eileen Chavez and Cordy Chavez. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
All services were held at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas, beginning with a viewing and a rosary on Monday, Aug. 2. A final visitation and a Funeral Mass were held Tuesday, Aug. 3. Interment followed at Los Lentes Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Victor, Johnathan and Jacob Rivera, Carl Shryack, Ken Dorrity, Amborse and Ruben Chavez. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Redfern, Pat Shue, Cleo Wersonick, Midge Crown, Kathryn Bayless and Judy Thompson.

Bruce A. Shirley
Bruce A. Shirley, age 64, of Los Lunas, has passed.
He was born March 4, 1946, to Alvin and June Shirley in Albuquerque, the youngest with two sisters, Marilyn and Norma, who gave him eight nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shirley was an Apostolic Minister. He was the father of three sons, Michael, Bruce and Baby Paul, who walks in heaven with him now. He also has two stepsons, Steve Land and Justin McKinnon; and 11 grandchildren.
Mr. Shirley leaves a wife, Charlotte, who will continue with his ministry of service to our Lord Jesus, and to bring as many as possible to the truth in the word. Thanks to our many friends and loved ones whom I shall count on to stay on the path.
Private services are planned. Donations may be made to Calvary Apostolic Temple at 215 53rd St. SW, in Albuquerque.
Stewert D. Stevenson
Stewert D. Stevenson, 59, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, July 29.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lou Ann Stevenson; his mother, June Arnold; children, Justin Stevenson, Jessica Osborne and her husband, Cameron; three grandchildren, Geoffry Osborne, Justin and Joshua Stevenson. He was preceded in death by his father, JD Stevenson; brother, Ray Stevenson.
Stewart was a veteran in the armed forces and a truck driver for the past 37 years. Stewart will be remembered as a loving father, husband and good friend and will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved him. He will live in our hearts and minds.
