Inner Beauty has a Christian atmosphere
Elizabeth Mora believes everyone has an inner beauty.
“We’re just here to enhance it,” she says of Inner Beauty Hair Studio, her salon in Bosque Farms.
Mora opened the salon about a year ago after spending 22 years as a stylist, most of that in salons in Paradise Hills and Rio Rancho.
She decided to go out on her own, she said, because “I wanted to change how things are done in a salon … I wanted to control the environment to make it more relaxing, more peaceful and more professional.”
She said she also wanted a salon with a Christian atmosphere.
“God put it in my heart to open a salon so I could minister to people and bless them, where I could use my skills and talents, and glorify God at the same time,” Mora said.
The studio that has resulted, Inner Beauty, is “family friendly, provides full services, and is a five-star salon without five star prices,” Mora said.
“Our focus is on customer service,” she said, “and we’ve already developed a lot of repeat customers. And our stylists do ongoing education.”
Besides Mora, the salon has four stylists, Myranda Chavez, Linda Orr (also a nail tech), Amy Garay and Cynthia Lewis.
In addition, Loriann Ortega is a certified massage therapist, and Kimberly Gurule is an esthetician. Adriana Nevares is the salon manager.
Among the services offered at Inner Beauty Hair Studio are a variety of hair cutting and styling services for children and adults; hair coloring, including corrective coloring, which Mora said “is a really big thing” for women who have made a coloring mistake; hair removal; facials; chemical peels; gel nails; and massage therapy.
The staff also offers consulting services.
Mora said the Christian-based business is “different because I believe God built this salon … I think the message makes a variety of people feel good.
Mora is originally from Jarales. She is one of five children of Celestino and Leonore Benavidez.
She is married to Raul Mora and has two children, Alexis and Michael.
