Chavez, Lansford exchange vows
Elizabeth Chavez and Wesley Lansford were united in marriage on July 30 at the San Felipe de Neri Church in Old Town Albuquerque.
Elizabeth is the daughter of Joseph and Cathy Chavez of Belen. She is a 2003 Belen High School graduate, and received her bachelor’s degree in general/special elementary education from the University of Mexico in 2009. She obtained her master’s degree in special education from UNM in 2010.
She is a third-grade teacher at Vista Grande Elementary in Rio Rancho.
Her groom, Wesley Lansford, is the son of Brian and Andrea Lansford of Albuquerque. He is a 2003 graduate of West Mesa High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in construction management at UNM in 2008. He will receive his master’s degree in architecture from UNM in May 2012. He works at RMCI Inc. in Albquerque.
Elizabeth’s maid of honor was Elisha Mitchell of Belen. Wesley’s best man was Andrew Garcia Jr. of Clayton, N.M.
The bridesmaids were Dyan Chavez of Torrington, Wyo., Amanda Lansford of Albuquerque, Tiffany Trujillo of Belen and Felicia Chavez of Belen.
The groomsmen were Paul Molina of Las Cruces and Belen, Randy Hanna of Belen, Jose Flores of Albuquerque, Michael Sanchez of Belen and Raymond Chavez of Belen.
The flower girls were Ava and Addie Bateson of Rio Rancho and Kaden Henderson of Albuquerque. Ayden Trujillo of Los Lunas was the ring bearer.
The couple’s reception was held at the Albuquerque Banque Lofts Rooftop. Elizabeth and Wesley spent a week in Asheville, N.C., sight seeing and relaxing.
They will make their home in downtown Albuquerque.
