A FORAGES GROWER’S WORKSHOP will be held at UNM-VC beginning with registration from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop is hosted by the Valencia County Cooperative Extension Service and NMSU’s Small Farm and Ranch Task Force. The goal of workshop is to provide local hay growers timely and practical information that may lead to management decisions that promote lowering costs while maintaining healthy fields, quality forage products and higher yields. LOS LUNAS CHRISTMAS LIGHT PARADE will start at 6:30 p.m. The parade route will begin at the Visitor’s Center, 3447 Lambros Loop, and end at Don Pasqual by village hall. THE DITCHBANK BANDITS will hold a fishing derby at 8 a.m. at the Los Lunas River Park. The cost is $5 a person, with all proceeds going towards cleaning up the bosque and surrounding areas. There will be some prizes for winners and participants as well as a fish fry afterwards.

NOVEMBER IS ‘OVERDUE FORGIVENESS MONTH’ at the Bosque Farms Library. Put all old overdue books in the book return, no questions asked. Bosque Farms Library can’t replace the missing and overdue books with new ones. Help them out by returning overdue books and movies.
THE BOSQUE FARMS LIBRARY will be holding its annual used and new book sale until Wednesday, Dec. 14. Buy used books by the bag and new books for a fraction of the cost. All books have been received as donations to the library. They have fiction, non-fiction and children’s books for sale.
THE BELEN MODEL RAILROAD CLUB will be showing trains through Nov. 26 at the Harvey House Museum in Belen. Trains will be run on a 20-foot by 40-foot layout every Tuesday through Saturday, and most Sundays from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
