Lucia E. Armijo
Lucia E. Armijo, age 91, a resident of Pueblitos, died peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 10.
She was born on June 25, 1920, and was a lifelong resident of Pueblitos. Lucia worked for Feil & Ellermeyer Department Store for 31 years and, during World War II, she worked at the Mare Island Factory in Vallejo, Calif..
Lucia was an accomplished seamstress and loved the farm home in which she lived. She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church as well as the San Isidro Mission Church in Pueblitos, where she and her brother served as Mayordomos for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo Benito and Flora Abeyta Armijo; sisters, Andrea Armijo, Rosenda Martinez and husband, Marcos, Rebecca Catalina Armijo; and a brother, Fidel Armijo.
Lucia is survived by her devoted brother, Celso, of the family home; sister, Margaret Tanaka and husband, Arthur, of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister-in-law, Clara Armijo, of Albuquerque; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Wednesday, Dec. 14, beginning with a viewing at 10 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Stephen Schultz. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
