Daniel Burkhard, age 53, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Rapid City, S.D.
He is survived by his wife Shelly; and son, Jacob; brothers, Michael, Robert, Steven, Louis and Timothy Burkhard; and sisters, Susan Whalen and Theresa Montoya.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, Dec. 16, in Spearfish, S.D. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
Arrangements are by Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, S.D.
Beatrice Alice Pogue
Beatrice Alice Pogue, born in Royal Oak, Mich., passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at home in Belen.
Everybody loved Bea. She was a greeter and helper in two church thrift stores, even after being confined in a wheelchair.
She also loved to travel with her companions and Ruth and Gary Hasenauer. They visited the Holy Land, Germany, Egypt, Hawaii, Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean Islands, Alaska, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Colorado and Arizona.
She is joined in heaven with her loving husband, Gordy Pogue; mother, Nettie McDonald Pollard; father, Ed Pollard; and six siblings. Beatrice is survived by her twin brother, Billy Pollard and wife, Barbara, of Madison, W.V.; nephew, Chuck Pogue and wife, Dorothy, of Los Lunas; great-niece, Penny Pogue; great-nephew, Billy Pogue; and great-niece, Mekela Chavez. She is also survived by many out-of-state nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and the caregivers for their love and professional care of Bea since 2010.
All services will be held at the Light House Church of Nazarene, 102 La Luna Place in Rio Communities, on Tuesday, Dec. 20, beginning with a viewing at 10 a.m., and a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery.

Sarah Elizabeth Quisenberry
Sarah Elizabeth Quisenberry, age 63, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, Dec. 15, at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Sarah is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sarah was born in Myrtle Beach, S. C., on Jan. 3, 1948. She has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1968. Sarah worked as a general manager at several hotels, the last at the Rio Grande Inn, before opening TMM Business Records Storage in 1990. Together, Sarah and her husband, Tom Quisenberry, successfully ran TMM before losing their business to a fire in 2010.
Although Sarah was a natural entrepreneur, her greatest accomplishments were her love and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, family and friends. Sarah loved to fish and ski in the beauty of Angel Fire.
She also cherished her time teaching her grandsons, Joel, to paint, putting puzzles together with Stephen, fishing with Richie and helped her eldest grandson, Brett, during his last two years of high school.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Pleasant Burrell Durham and Kathleen Huff Durham; her sister, Kathleen “Kitty” Cheney; and her brother, Pleasant “Tim” Durham.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Tom Quisenberry; daughter, Kelly Marions Fajardo and husband, Larry; son, Don Marions; step-daughter, Michelle Petrin and husband, Jeff; step-son Shane Quisenberry and wife, Kris; grandchildren, Brett Petrin, Richard Solorzano, Stephen and Joel Fajardo; her sisters, Barbara Abraham, Laura Shytle, Ruthie Jones and husband, Randy; many nieces and nephews, and her dear friends, Joanna Rubi and Rachel McLeod.
Sarah was loved by all that knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
All services will be held at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley, at 19381 North N.M. 314 in Belen, on Monday, Dec. 19. A viewing will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery, and there will be a reception following at the church.
Pallbearers are Jeff Petrin, Lawrence Fajardo, Richard Solorzano, Brett Petrin, Shane Quisenberry and Frank Espinosa. Honorary pallbearers are Stephen and Joel Fajardo.
