Sylvia also owns Graphics 2 Go Signs and Decals, and is a 1993 graduate of Los Lunas High School and a 1996 graduate of Albuquerque Art Center.

They enjoy worshiping Jesus, his family and paint ball. They belong to Calvary Chapel’s New Harvest in Los Lunas.

Their children are Uriah, Miriam, Grace, Faith, all of Los Lunas.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with family, pizza, popcorn and movies. They also celebrated with a romantic dinner.

John and Sylvia were high school sweethearts. Their parents had to give permission for their marriage license because they were both under 18. They were married during Christmas vacation.

They said people had placed bets on how long they would be married.

“People we meet now are amazed that we were married so young are still happily married and still in love,” they said.

They said it rained heavily during the wedding, and it was so muddy that one of Sylvia’s cousins lost her high heel and it was never found.
