Robertsons celebrate golden wedding anniversary
Thomas and Karen Robertson will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 3.
Thomas and the former Karen Jeanne Johnson were married in 1962 at the Monte Vista Christian Church in Albuquerque.
Tom graduated from Belen High School in 1953, and from the University of New Mexico with a finance degree. He is retired from BNSF (formerly AT&SF) railroad after 45 years of service.
Karen graduated from Highland High School in 1957. She worked as a secretary at AEC, RCA and ACF until their sons were born, then as a stay-at-home mom.
They are the parents of Doyle (wife, Jennifer) of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Brian (wife, Aleta) of Omaha, Neb., and grandparents of Savannah and Hugo Roberston of Omaha.
The Robertsons have traveled most of the United States and many foreign countries, taken several cruises, but have especially enjoy living in Los Chavez for 40 years. They have always had a big yard, many flowers and lot of produce to keep them both busy.
They plan to celebrate their anniversary with a get-together with their immediate family later in the year.
