Marijean Alice Carmack Boucher
Marijean Alice Carmack Boucher, age 67, a resident of Las Cruces, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 6, at Memorial Medical Center after battling cancer.
She was born in 1944 in Spokane, Wash., to the late Reno and Clarice Dye Carmack, and grew up in Rockford, Wash., on the family farm. She married Fred Balding on July 28, 1963, while attending Eastern Washington University and had two children, Jeff and Patty.
In 1966, she graduated with a teaching degree and soon began her teaching career, which lasted until her retirement in 2011.
She married Larry Boucher on Feb. 14, 1983, in Belen, and had one child, the late Dawna Leigh. In 1998, she moved to San Jose, Calif., teaching at Valle Vista Elementary, and had recently moved back to Las Cruces after retirement.
Marijean was a caring, devoted and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She most enjoyed the company of those she kept close. She will be deeply missed by many.
She took pride in her career as an elementary school teacher, and many children in Hatch and Las Cruces, and Riverside and San Jose in California, were impacted by her nurturing teaching.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Dawna Boucher; brother, Bruce Carmack, and father-in-law, Terry Boucher. Marijean is survived by her husband of 29 years, Larry; children, Jeff Balding of Nokesville, Va., and Patty D’Amore and husband, Marc, of Las Cruces; grandchildren, Dolli Myers and husband, John, of Yuba City, Calif., Lorraine D’Amore of Kissimmee, Fla., and Thomas D’Amore and Tyler Balding of Las Cruces; great-granddaughter, Ryan Myers; nieces and nephews, Roberta Carmack of Spokane, John Carmack and wife, Juanita, of Rathdrum, Idaho, Lauri Hansen and husband, Don, and Julie Hansen and husband, Dan, of Rockford, Kim Wickens and husband, Mike, of Albuquerque, and Robert Boucher of Grapevine, Texas; sisters-in-law, Terri Vrabel and husband, Charles, of Grapevine, and Barbara Carmack of Rockford; and mother-in-law, Mary Boucher of Belen.
A memorial service will be held in Las Cruces at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 10, at Heart for the World Church at 1605 South Valley Drive. A visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m., Monday, March 12, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery.

Emiliano R. Chavez
Emiliano R. Chavez, 32, of Belen, died March 5.
He was a beloved son, brother and friend to many. He is survived by his mother, stepfather, father, sister, brother, aunts, uncles and many close friends, who loved him dearly.
Eulalia M. Garcia
Eulalia M. Garcia, age 94, a resident Los Lunas, passed away on Thursday, March 8.
A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 11. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 9 a.m., Monday, March 12, with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.

Melecio Jaramillo, 76, of Barstow, Calif., passed away Saturday, Feb. 18.
He was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Belen, and was a resident of Barstow for 54 years.
He worked as an electrician for 42 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mecor and Adelicia Jaramillo. He is survived by his children, Leroy Jaramillo of Barstow, Rudy Jaramillo (Dianne) of Barstow, Joseph Jaramillo of Barshow, Evelyn Wickersham (Jim) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Diane Robles (Paul) of Barstow, and Bernice Gallegos of Las Vegas, Nev.; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; sisters Lupe Rodriguez and Betty Casano of Belen; and several nephews and nieces.
Services for Melecio were held on Feb. 28 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Barstow.
Adrian Maurice Montoya
Adrian Maurice Montoya, age 28, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Tuesday, March 6.
Adrian is survived by his loving son, Cameron Montoya; father, Gilbert Montoya; mother, Trudy Greenup and husband, Jeff; brothers, Thomas Montoya and Dale Montoya; and fiancé, Leslie Fay; paternal grandparents, Viola Avent; maternal grandparents, Tom and Pat Meier; and nephews, Styles Christopher Montoya and Eli Montoya. He is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
A visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 10, with a Rosary to be recited at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
Honorary urnbearers will be his nephews.
A potluck for Adrian’s family and friends will be held at Hank and Paula Lockhart’s house following the service.

Jim F. Sanchez
Jim F. Sanchez, age 77, a resident of Belen, passed away on Friday, March 9.

Larry Henry White
Larry Henry White, age 66, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Sunday, March 4.
He was a soldier in the U.S. Army from 1963-66, serving in Vietnam. He was on the Moores, N.Y., Police Department for eight years before working as a machinist.
Larry moved to Albuquerque in 2002 to work with Solid Steel as a security guard supervisor. He was a mason and also played semi-pro ice hockey and baseball in New York. He was a master craftsman and woodworker.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry White and Viola Watts White.
He is survived by his son, SGM Larry H. White II, U.S. Army, and wife, Bonnie, and their children, Kayla, Josh and Justin from DuPont, Wash,; son, Barry White and children, Kenny, Miranda, Lauren and Krista from Rouses Point, N.Y.; daughters , Snow Ann White from Plattsburg, N.Y., Lisa Fuentes, Ashley Fuentes from Pinellas Park, Fla; the mother of his children, Mary White from Plattsburg, N.Y.; his beloved dogs, Kupid and Itty Bitty; and his loving wife, Beth Miller, from Los Lunas.
A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, at Peralta Memorial United Methodist Church, with a reception to follow.
