James David Donmoyer
James David Donmoyer, born on Dec. 18, 2011, departed this earth on Saturday, March 10.
He is survived by his parents, Ian and Dawn Donmoyer, of Albuquerque; grandparents, Ted and Denise Donmoyer and Elizabeth Hauer; great-grandmother, Verna Donmoyer; uncle, Jesse Donmoyer; and aunts, Michelle Saavedra and Katy Hickman.
James was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Ziegler; and great-grandmother, Mary Measel.
Though he was only with us for a short time, James brought happiness to everyone around him. He was very smart and expressive and will be greatly missed by all.
Services were held at French-Lomas Chapel on Friday, March 16. Interment took place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.

Akard Masingale
Died 2012
Akard Masingale, a loving husband, father and papa, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 13 after a five-year battle with cancer.
He was listening to the book of Proverbs and his mother’s voice as he peacefully slipped away. Akard’s life was dedicated to his talent as a race horse trainer, western stockhorse and jockey saddle maker.
After retiring from horse training, he spent 13 years delivering for the oil industry. He also served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 through 1968.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ed Masingale. He is survived by his loving wife, Drayanna, of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter, Charmaine Cooper (Tony); grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Stacy and Eric, also of Tucson; mother, Naola Masingale of Los Lunas; brother, Ed (ZoeAnn); niece, Bricena Aragon (Anthony); nephews Cody (Stacy) and Levi; sister, Franna Avney (Mark); nephew, Matthew; niece, Brook; and great-nephews and nieces, Dylan, Qwaden, Harlee and Cyann.
Cremation has taken place.
He will be greatly missed by all, especially two very close friends, Freddie Chavez of Moriarty, and Rick Gallegos of Albuquerque.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24, in Tucson, as well as a celebration of his life in Los Lunas, also on March 24.

Richard Morton
Richard Morton, age 87, a long time resident of Los Lunas, passed away at the The Good Life Assisted Living Home on Friday, March 2.
Richard enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his dog, Ginger. Many of his friends knew him as Slim. He was a very soft spoken, gentle, kind man.
He served in the military and was a Purple Heart veteran.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred, in 2004; Richard is survived by his daughter, Shirley Kay Van Roekel; sister, Bobbi Balch; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His final resting place will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery Santa Fe.

Leroy O. Romero
Leroy O. Romero, age 56, a resident of Belen, passed away on Sunday, March 11.
All services were held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Friday, March 16. Interment followed at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.

Keith W. Walker
On Friday, March 9, at 10:45 a.m., Keith W. Walker left this world to join another.
He was born in Ohio, and later moved to Texas to work in the oil fields. Keith later moved to New Mexico, where he drove for Swift Transportation.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia L. Walker; and his children, William and Rachel of Los Lunas.
A celebration of Keith’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 24, at the Bosque Farms Church of Christ, 1635 Bosque Farms Blvd.
