Betty Gonzales
1945-2012
Betty Gonzales, age 66, a resident of Valencia County, went home Tuesday, April 3, to be reunited with her husband, Severo Gonzales; daughter, Donna Gencia; sisters, Linda Salez, Maryann Lujan; and her brother, Johnny Castillo.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Cynthia and husband, John Marquez, Tommie and Luis Varela, Erica and Micha Mruczek; son, Oliver and Crystal Madrid; grandchildren, Johnathan Mares, Dave and Myra Tafoya, Samantha, Jesus, Michelle, Shawn Johnson, David Fitzsimmons, Christopher and Cheressa Tafoya, Willie Bettencourt, Olivia Madrid and Christina Madrid; 10 great-grandchildren, Madisa, Amelia, Shawn, Harmony, Julian, Andrew, Celine, Nicholas, Vaydah and Dante; six sisters, Viola Padilla, Lupe Wiggin, Christina Gutierrez, Barbara Cedos, Linda Castillo and Cecillia Castillo; brothers, Bobby Castillo, Michael Castillo and Richard Castillo.
We love and miss you very much.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 10,beginning with a viewing at 9 a.m., the Rosary at 9:30, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Paul Tafoya, Johnathan Mares, David Fitzsimmons, Willie Bettencourt, Christopher Tafoya, Shawn Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Castillo, Cruz Padilla, David Hernandez  and Dennis Lujan.

Mary Gonzales
1928-2012
Mary Gonzales, age 83, a resident of Belen, passed away Monday, April 2.
She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She retired from Los Lunas Hospital and Training School and she was a foster grandparent for the training school.
Mary was a great cook who made the best tamales. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed having family around her.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Gonzales; children, David, Phillip, Josie, Willie and Anthony; son-in-law, Pete Sisneros; granddaughter, Stephanie; brothers, Ramon, Lorenzo and Manuel; sisters, Gloria and Delfinia.
She is survived by her children, Maxine Sisneros and partner, Satos Bibiano, of Belen, Victoria Davis and husband, James, of Edgewood, Arthur Gonzales Jr., Josephine Gutierrez and husband, Johnny, of Belen; 41 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Piedad Montano of California, Romy Saavedra and husband, Roy, of Albuquerque, Filomena Chavez of Albuquerque; numerous nieces and nephews in Albuquerque, California and Arizona, and many friends.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, Monday, April 9, starting with a visitation at 9 a.m., followed by the Rosary at 9:30 a.m., and the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
Urn bearer will be Arthur Gonzales.

William F. Harper Jr.
1949-2012
William F. Harper Jr., age 63, a resident of Belen, passed away on Feb. 17.
Will was a speech language pathologist for the Belen and Los Lunas schools, and also worked for the Somerset County Schools in Maryland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Harper and Mary Jane Harper of Towson, Md.
Will is survived by his daughter, Lisa Harper Brown and husband, Bill; granddaughter, Courtney Brown; sister, Susan Harper Koch; and friend, Evelyn Sanchez.
A memorial service will be held in Maryland on May 30.

Rev. Richard Ray Kirby
1922-2012
Rev. Richard Ray Kirby, age 89, a resident of Belen, passed away Thursday, April 5.
Richard was a missionary to Kenya East Africa and founded the Harvest Field Bible School where he served for 16 years. Then, with the Lord’s calling, he moved his family to Belen in 1975, where he founded and pastored the Word of Faith Church with his wife, Ila.
Richard and Ila had five children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Oscar Kirby and Iva Pearl (Powell) Kirby; and his son, B. Gene Kirby.
Richard is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ila Mae(Dalton) Kirby; sons, Ronald Kirby and Stanley Kirby; daughters, Susan Gilpin and Myra Ward; grandchildren, Jeannie Kirby Hoskinson, Michele Kirby, Shaunna Kirby, Peter Ward, Tasha Jackson, Tony Ward, Sonny Ward, Priscilla Ward, Nicholas Ward, Michael Ward, Randy and Corey Kirby; great grandchildren, Denver and Dylan Robbins, Jimi and Farah Killebrew, Robert and Kimberly Trujillo, Josh and Miranda Gilpin and Daniel Trujillo; and many more great-grandchildren.
