Maudie Burton Crawford
1918-2012
Maudie Burton Crawford, age 93, of Los Lunas, passed away Friday April 6.
She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in Roswell, to John Granville and Mary Ann Burton.
Maudie was married to the late Oscar Fay Crawford, who farmed on the Berrendo north of Roswell for 40 years.
Maudie was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Albuquerque for many years. She worked hard all her life and was a very giving person. She gave of herself to everyone in her family and to all her friends.
If someone needed help, she was the first one to step forward without a thought for herself or her well being.
She has lived in Los Lunas with her son and daughter-in law for the last 29 years. She will be missed.
Maudie was the fifth child of eight siblings.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Burton, Bob Burton and Alvin Burton; and sisters, Sylvia Burton, Willa Hatch, Nina Crawford and Sybil Wilson.
She is survived by her brother, John Burton, and wife, Sue, who reside in Georgetown, Texas. Maudie is also survived by her two children, Granville“Grant” Crawford and wife, Dorothy “Peaches” Crawford, of Los Lunas, and Sylvia Irene Green and husband, Dick Green, of Coppell, Texas; and three stepchildren, Roger Crawford, Brian Crawford and Donza Beth Gilchrist; and her favorite nephews, Bobby Gene Crawford and wife, Barbara,  of Pubelo, Colo., and Woody Crawford and wife, Ann, of Las Cruces; and niece, Blaine Stacy and husband, Curly Stacy of Houston, Texas.
Maudie has four surviving grandchildren, Granville “ G-2” Crawford II, Richard “Rick” Green and Mary K. Keane and husband, Maurice  Keane, Chad Ingram and wife, Stacy, of Carlsbad, N.M.; and  four adoring great-grandchildren, Katie, Andrew, Ryan and Sarah Margaret Keane, all of Coppell, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 13, at Ballard’s Funeral  Home in Roswell.

Kathryn DeMasters
1918-2012
Kathryn DeMasters, age 94, a resident of Belen for 90 years, passed away Sunday, April 8.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph  L. DeMasters; brother, Walter and wife, Ilene Moore; and brother-in-law, Lyle Allen.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie DeMasters and wife, Maryhelen; grandchildren, Carrie Culpepper and husband, Paul, Rhonda Gorrell and husband, James, Shawna DeMasters, and Kevin DeMasters; great-grandchildren, Latosha Gorrell, Lane Gorrell, William C. Perkins, Danielle Perkins and Ethan Gorrell; five great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Leona Allen.
Services will be held Thursday, April 12, at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel beginning with a visitation at 10:30 a.m., and funeral service at 11 a.m., followed by entombment at Sunset Memorial Park at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez.

Megan Quyt Flock
1994-2012
Megan Quyt Flock, age 17, a resident of Belen, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9.
Our Angel brought joy to everyone she met and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her loving grandmothers, Quyt Flock and Credella Wilder.
Megan is survived by her loving parents, William Flock and wife, Theresa Witek, and Keisha Wilder and husband, Gary Kubiak; brother, William Flock; sister, Bailey Wilder; aunts, Donna Newkirk, Toan Huynh, Yevonne and Ly Flock; uncle David Flock; and grandfather, Lee Flock.
A final visitation will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 12, with a celebration of Megan’s life following at 11 a.m.

Geraldine L. Maude
1930-2012
Geraldine L. Maude, age 82, a resident of Los Lunas, formerly of Colorado, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 5.
She was born Feb. 5, 1930, to Gerard and Myrna Barzeele in Denver, Colo. In 1949, she married her first and only love, Robert G. Maude in Denver. He predeceased her in 1999.
“Gerry” was an active and vital member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She worked tirelessly in the pantry and thrift store for more than 25 hours per week, even up to the day before her death. She received the St. Vincent de Paul Jubilarian Award in 2011.
“Gerry” is survived by her son, Russell Maude of Parker, Colo.; daughters, Margaret Maude of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Carol Lawton and husband, Gary, of Los Lunas; grandchildren, Stephanie Bledsoe of Fr. Collins, Colo., and Stacie Young and husband, Matt, of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Aaron Lawton of Albuquerque, Adam Bledsoe of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Dominic and Myah Gonzales of Ft. Collins, Colo. She is also survived by her “extra daughter,” Barbara Silva; and her St. Vincent de Paul family.
Services will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church beginning with a Rosary at 7 p.m., Friday, April 13. The Funeral Mass will be at 12 p.m., Saturday, April 14.

Opal Miller Parker
1921-2012
Opal Miller Parker, age 90, passed away in her home on April 4, surrounded  by her family.
She is survived by one son, George Ronald and his wife, Vicki; two daughters, Phyllis Kent and Marilyn Holden and her husband, Toby, all of Los Lunas; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lee (Hoss) Miller of Portales; and three sisters, Essie Helm of Lincoln, Ark., B-Etta Campbell of Alamogordo, and Maxine Smith of Elida, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; great-granddaughter, Erin Weems of Capitan; her parents, Ben and Mary Miller of Portales; and one brother and six sisters.
The funeral service was held Friday, April 6, at Wheeler Mortuary, 500 E. Third, Portales, 575-356-4455.  She was buried in the Floyd Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Shane Parker, Toby G. Holden, Clay Kerr, Brian Cleckler, James Weems and Daniel Nunez.

Maria “Sally” Celina Rivera
1930-2012
Maria “Sally” Celina Rivera, age 81, a resident of Adelino, passed away on Friday, April 6.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Tomé, Sally was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Salas; sisters, Lucy Salas, Carmen Montoya and Corrine Baca; and brothers, Benito Aragon and Johnny Aragon.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Frank Rivera; sons, Frank Jr.  and wife, Cristina Rivera, John and wife, Becky Rivera, and Daniel and wife, Beth Rivera; eight grandchildren, Selena, TJ, Daniel, Felicia, Jace, Francisco, John and Andrew; brothers, Mike Aragon and wife, Theo, Florencio Aragon and wife, Carmen, and Rudy Aragon; and sisters, Selsa Chavez and Mary Jane Alarid.
All services were held at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Tomé, on Tuesday, April 10, with Father Jose Hernandez presiding. Interment followed at the Tomé Catholic Cemetery.

Harold Rex White
1936-2012
Harold Rex White, age 75, a resident of Abeytas, passed away on Sunday, April 8.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark D. White in 2011.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Bohannon White; four children, Lawrence R. White and girlfriend, Susie, Kelly A. White and wife, Lydia, Susan R. Aranda and husband, Frank, and Jeffery A. White; sister, Rosemary Burke; daughter-in-law, Joy White; brother-in-law, Ronnie Burke; sister-in-law, Shirley and husband, JV Day; nine grandchildren, Michael White, Curtis White, John White, Lori Davis, Kelly White Jr., Tina Felix, Juli Knight, Mark White and Michelle White; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A viewing was held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 10. A graveside service will be held at the San Antonio Catholic Cemetery at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 11.
