Charltons celebrate 50 years of marriage
Gerald B. and Mary Lee Charlton of Bosque Farms celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 21. The couple was married in 1962 at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro.
Gerald, a 1959 Clovis High School graduate, received a degree in physics from New Mexico Tech in 1963 and 1970. He retired from the Department of Defense.
Mary Lee graduated from Socorro High School in 1962, and is retired from Los Lunas Schools.
The couple are members of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Peralta.
Their children are Dr. Gerald A. and Maria Teresa Charlton of Albuquerque, C. Brian Charlton of Chicago, Ill., and Dr. Greg and Sarah Charlton of Las Cruces.
Their grandchildren are Victoria, Amanda and Michaela Charlton of Albuquerque, and Dominic and Olivia Charlton of Las Cruces.
The couple spent a week-long family gathering in Ruidoso. They will be taking a Caribbean cruise in February.
