Sisto “Sonny” Baca
1931-2012
Sisto “Sonny” Baca, age 81, a resident of Adelino, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
He was a member the Farm Bureau and Machinist Union. In his early career, he was a foreman for the Matisa Railweld in Chicago Heights, Ill. Sonny retired in 1986 after 26 years working for the AT&SF Railroad in Albuquerque. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, farming and growing hot chile.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Baca; mother, Martinia Marquez Baca; and siblings, Adelena, Aaron, Lucy, Frances, Eva, Priscilla and Floyd.
Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Laura Baca; children, Robin and husband, Dale Stevenson, Annette and husband, Perry Sherwood, Louis and wife, Carol Baca, Julie Baca and boyfriend, Bobby Dearing; grandchildren, Annette and Josh Meyer, Leann and Brian Jenkins, Eric Jojola, Ashley Baca, Dominique and Tim Albright, Travis and Clint Chavez; great-grandchildren, Jasmyn, Scarlett, Alena and Brayden; and sister, Lena Mumme and husband, Bud. He is also survived by many loving, cousins, nieces and nephews.
All services will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel, beginning with a visitation at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 8,  with a Memorial Mass to be held at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date.

Estella Serna Cordova
1922-2012
Estella Serna Cordova, age 90, a resident of Belen, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, Sept. 6, surrounded by all her family.
She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and a lector. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Julian Cordova; parents, Anastacio and Terisita Sanchez Serna; her children, Arturo, Bernie and Angie Cordova; and son-in-law, Al Salazar.
Estella is survived by her six loving children, Maymie Salazar, Juan and wife, Cruz Cordova, Nora and husband, Kenny Maestas, Annabelle and husband, Nago Contreras, Gerald and wife, Navora Cordova, and Julie and husband, Teddy Gonzales; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Nellie Cordova and Irene Cordova.
A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel at 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 9, with a Rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 10, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Steven Contreras, Gabriel Montano, John Cordova, Michael Armijo, Charles Gonzales, Art Cordova, Carlos Cordova and Frank Aragon.

Emmagene Davis, age 88, resident of Belen, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6.

Louise M. Dupuis
1925-2012
Louise M. Dupuis passed away on Sept. 2 at the age of 87. Services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Los Lunas. She is loved and will be missed dearly.

Clyde McElroy
1934-2012
Clyde McElroy, age 78, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away Monday, Sept. 3.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and worked his lifetime doing road and utility construction. He spent his last few years retired.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Wanda; grandson, Brian; sister, Anita; and brothers, Jerry, Johnny and Perry.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara, Linda, and Debbie; stepchildren, Ginger and Vince; brothers, Bobby, Don, and Wendell; sister, Janice; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
A celebration of his life will be held at noon, Saturday, Sept. 8, at 5011 Short St., Los Lunas.

Louie V. Mora
1964-2012
Louie V. Mora, age 48, a resident of Belen, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
He was a journeyman electrician with IBWE No. 611 and attended Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. He loved music and fishing, and also enjoyed NASCAR. He was an avid San Diego Chargers fan.
Louie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luis and Todosia Mora, Vicente and Eliza Hernandez.
He is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Alicia Mora; sister, Carla Hazelton of Glendale, Ariz.; brother, Mark, of Belen; special friend, Tina Barker, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services were at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church Friday, Sept. 7.  Interment was private.
Pallbearers were Ken Sandlin, Jerry Dutchover, Brent Thomas, Mario Padilla, Vince David Hernandez and Vicente Roman Hernandez.

Nancy Roth
1937-2012
Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, Nancy Roth, age 75, went to be with the Lord Sept. 1.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Relles, Paula Hill, Jeanne Trujillo and Nancy Fitzgerald; son, Peter Roth; sons-in-law, Randy Relles, Steve Hill, Chris Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Jesse, Joshua, Jennifer Matthew, Stephanie, Jonathan, Kristen, Zachery, Ryan, Hanna, and Emily; and great-grandchildren, Micah and Ava.
Nancy shared her love of God through all she did. She was a wonderful example of Christ’s love to everyone who knew her.
A memorial service was held at Calvary Chapel in Belen on Friday, Sept. 7.
