Ruben B. Baca Jr.
Ruben B. Baca Jr., age 68, a resident of Belen, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25.
He served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis aboard the USS Gunston Hall.
Ruben loved his dogs and loved writing poetry. His final days were spent surrounded by all of his sisters and brothers-in law.
Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Neph Baca; sister, Lupe Carter; and stepmother, Emily Montano Baca.
He is survived by his children; his sisters, Eileen Brubaker, Anna Gutierrez and husband, Richard, Mary Ann Smith, Dodie Vallejos and husband, Leroy (who always shared a special bond with him), Bernadette C’de Baca and husband, Robert Kellogg M.D.; numerous loving nieces and nephews, and a very special aunt, Rose Baca. He will be dearly missed.
Services will be at a later date.
To all his extended family and friends who were an important part of his life, Ruben’s immediate family would like to give a special heartfelt thank you.

Elaine Freeman, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 24.

Lola Grace Gonzales
Lola Grace Gonzales passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving parents on Thursday, Oct. 25.
Lola Grace was born on Oct. 12. Although she was only with us for 15 short days, she touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. She will always be remembered as the feisty baby girl with beautiful dark hair.
Lola Grace is the daughter of Daniel and Tiffany Gonzales of Los Lunas. She is survived by her siblings, Sierra and Isaac Gonzales. Her paternal grandparents are Dan and Judy Gonzales; her maternal grandparents are Rick and Tammie Fuller. Lola Grace is also survived by her loving great-grandparents, auntie, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her auntie, Tara Alderete.
A memorial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 29, at Calvary New Harvest in Los Lunas.
The family would like to thank the staff at Presbyterian Hospital NICU and the amazing doctors during pregnancy for the incredible care they provided.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation or the Beckwith-Wiedemann Children’s Foundation.

Richard “Ricky” Lovato, age 51, was called home on Monday, Oct. 22, by our Lord Jesus, while surrounded by his family.
He lived in Los Lunas for more than 30 years. Richard was a member of Grace Fellowship and enjoyed praising our Lord. He was a devoted husband, father and Pampa.
Richard enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing, music, working on vehicles and spending time with his family and friends. We will miss him and his humor.
He loved making everyone laugh, but we will have all the wonderful memories we made with him.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Lovato; grandparents, Henry and Ruth Garley; uncle, Hank Garley; aunt, Lucy Lovato; and cousin, Anthony Lovato.
He is survived by his wife, Gabriela Lovato; daughter, Erica Delgadillo and husband, Albert; son, Richard-Joe Lovato; granddaughters, Heather Raye, Roselynn,and Felicity; father, Fermin Lovato; sisters, Marie Lewis and husband, Jimmy, Casilda Weaver and husband, Ernie; brother, Randy Lovato and wife, Christina; many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Fellowship Church in Los Lunas at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27.

Vera Weadock, age 80, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25.
She is survived by her loving family.
Cremation will take place and services are pending.
