Stella V. Cordova
Stella V. Cordova, age 75, a resident of Los Chavez, passed away on Monday, Nov. 19.
She was a member of First Assembly of God Church. Stella was a caregiver for several foster children. She enjoyed the farm life with her husband, Erlindo Cordova, and loved her dogs, Cloe and Crown.
Stella enjoyed attending family activities and getting together with the people who she loved. Stella you will be missed, we love you.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Erlindo Cordova; and sons, Freddie, Benji and David Cordova.
Stella is survived by her loving sons, Danny Cordova and Patrick Cordova and wife, Janice; sisters, Linda Saavedra and husband, Joe, and Rosemary Blanco and husband, Vicente; brother, Sal Carrasco and wife, Lucy; grandchildren, Esperanza Baca, Matthew Cordova, Julian Jaramillo, Crystal Jaramillo, Freddy Cordova, Erlinda Cordova, Nyle Cordova and Erin Cordova; and 19 great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Ambercare Hospice and her loving and caring nurse, Stephanie Saiz.
All services will be held at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday, Nov. 27, beginning with a viewing at 10:30 a.m., a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Geraldine Padilla, Crystal Jaramillo, Marty Carrasco, Raymond Carrasco, Bobby Joe Saavedra and Augustine Blanco.

Erma M. Howard
Erma M. Howard, age 90, longtime resident of Belen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 22.
Arrangements are pending at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave., 864-4448.

Weldon McKinley
Weldon McKinley, 82, a longtime resident of central New Mexico, passed away Nov. 20 at his home south of Belen.
Weldon was born March 25, 1930, in Alcalde, N.M., to Marvin and Lois (Nance) McKinley. He married Margaret Ann Cain on June 22, 1953, in Gran Quivera, N.M.
Weldon was life-long rancher and a member of the Mountainair Christian Center.
Weldon was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marvin McKinley Jr.,; and nephew, Terry McKinley.
Weldon is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret McKinley, of Belen; son, Marc McKinley and his wife, Donne, of Geary, Okla.; two daughters, Welda McKinley Griter and her husband, Jim, of Carrizozo; and Melinda McKinley of Mountainair; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Mountainair Assembly Of God Church in Mountainair, with pastor Doris Jaquess officiating. Burial has taken place at the Mountainair Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Mountainair,, “Our Family Serving Your Family.”

Jimmy A. Metcalf
Jimmy A. Metcalf, age 57, a resident of Belen, originally from Moline, Ill., passed away on Monday, Nov. 19.
Jimmy enjoyed many activities, including watching Little League baseball, NASCAR racing, and his favorite football team to watch was the Chicago Bears.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Kathy; his mom and dad, Violet and James Metcalf; one sister, Doris; and one brother, Wesley.
He is survived by a sister, Karen Dugan and husband, John; niece, Angela Lopez; and nephew, David Bohannon.
Services will be held at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment will be at a later date in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.
Pallbearers will include John Dugan and David Bohannon.
