Jennie Rodriguez
1928-2012
Jennie Rodriguez, age 84, a resident of Meadow Lake, peacefully joined our Lord while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Dec. 7.
She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She was happily married to her husband, Conrado Rodriguez, for 56 years in which they enjoyed fishing, camping and the true outdoors.
Jennie was a wonderful mother who loved to teach all her children and grandchildren how to sew, cook and bake the most wonderful food. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Conrado Rodriguez; parents, Tiofila and Senovio Montoya; sisters, Josie and Patsy Montoya; brothers, Tony, Orlando, Johnny and Tito Montoya.
Jenny is survived by her brothers, Archie, Larry and Leroy Montoya; four loving children, John Joe Rodriguez, Conrad Rodriguez, Josie Morgan and Victor Rodriguez; son and daughter-in-laws; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

James Sonnenberg
1948-2012
James Sonnenberg, age 64, a resident of Datil, N.M., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6.

Gilbert Rafael Trujillo
1938-2012
Gilbert Rafael Trujillo, age 74, a resident of Belen, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
He was raised in Albuquerque, and moved to California at the age of 16. He retired as a master finish carpenter and moved back to New Mexico in 1994.
Gilbert had a life-long love of classic and custom cars. He was a founding member of the car club Playboys of East LA and was a senior member of the N.M. Chapter Viejitos Car Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Luisa Trujillo; brothers, Edwin Trujillo and Donald Trujillo; parents, Ramona A. Gallegos Trujillo and Rafael Trujillo; and nephew, Donnie Trujillo.
Gilbert is survived by his sister, Corinne Gonzales; sons, Jaime Trujillo and Ramon Trujillo and his wife, Charlene; and his pride and joy, grandson, Diego Trujillo. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Chucha.
All services were held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 7. Interment will take place at a later date at Santa Teresita Cemetery.
Urnbearers were Lorenzo Gonzales, Joey Sena, Ernie Sena and Christopher Hiscocks.

Julian F. Zamora
1933-2012
Julian F. Zamora, age 79, a resident of Tomé, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 4.
He was born on Dec. 4, 1933, to Juan E. and Deluvina P. Zamora.
Julian loved life and lent a helping hand to those around him. He demonstrated his compassion for others by his actions.
All of his works, both professional and personal, were never less than perfect to the best of his ability. Julian loved all sports. As a young man, he was at the top of his class in baseball. He was an avid UNM Lobos and Dallas Cowboys fan.
During basketball season, he never missed watching either the “Lobos or Lobas,” and was always showing his support by wearing his team gear on game day.
Julian was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Agapita; parents, Juan Estevan and Deluvina Perea Zamora; son, Julian Leroy Zamora; brother, Joe Zamora; sisters, Maryann Sanchez, Leova Romero and Marlene Skidmore.
Julian is survived by his eight children, Johnny Zamora, Robert Zamora, Lorraine Garcia and husband, Randy, Jeanette Otero, Lester Zamora, Phillip Zamora, Clifford Zamora and Julian Zamora Jr.; four sisters, Rachel Toledo and husband, Prospero, Cecilia Coiner, Lydia Z. Havens, Lorina Ortega and husband, Jimmy; and one brother, Danny Zamora and wife, Mellie; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A public viewing and Rosary were held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Dec. 7. A final visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tomé, with Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Tomé Catholic Cemetery.
