Daniel Armijo
1933-2012
Daniel Armijo, age 79, a resident of Belen, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19.
He was born in Belen, moved to California at the age of 7, and returned home after retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.
He is survived by his children, Rosemary Peralta of California, Nancy Dominguez and husband, John, of California, Daniel Armijo Jr. of Belen; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing and Rosary were held at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, Friday, Dec. 21. A final viewing will be at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 22, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m.  Interment will be at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens following services.

Alice A. Baca
1923-2012
Alice A. Baca, age 89, a resident of Los Lunas for 19 years and formerly of Las Cruces for 70 years, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta and Holy Cross Church in Las Cruces. She was also a member of Our Ladies Guild for 35 years.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Fred Baca; son, Freddie Baca; daughter, Bernice Baca; brothers, Ramon and Ben Abeyta; and sister, Emma Misquez.
Alice is survived by her two loving daughters, Olga Sandoval and Yolanda Silva; sister, Rosa Olsen; brother, Guadalupe Abeyta; sisters-in-law, Gloria, Paula and Molly Abeyta; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta on Saturday, Dec. 22, beginning with a visitation at 12:30 p.m., a Rosary to be recited at 1 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., with Father Hoi Tran officiating. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Las Cruces at a later date.
Pallbearers will be Veronica Siamu, Yvette Sandoval and Olga Sandoval. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Sandoval, Ezekiel and Lyric Ellison, Oriana and Noa Siamu and Gabriella and Nicholas Sandoval.
The family wishes to thank friends, San Felipe School and staff and St. Mary’s School and staff for all their prayers and gifts.

A. D. Correll
1920-2012
A. D. Correll, age 92, a resident of Belen, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, after a short illness.
He was a proud veteran of WWII, and served 28 months in the Pacific Theatre. His unit was the 864th Army Aviation Engineers, which have gone down in history as one of the best, and is still an active unit serving in the current conflict.
A. D. was an engineer on the AT&SF Railroad for 43 years, and loved his job. He was also a talented carpenter, and built the home where his family was raised.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; son, Monte; and 12 brothers and sisters.
A. D. is survived by his daughter, Maxine Scripter and her husband, Larry, of Belen; grandson, Andy Correll, of Las Cruces; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in A. D.’s name.

Faye Paine
1923-2012
Faye Paine, age 89, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away Sunday, Dec. 9.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Elton Fulenwider and Bill Paine; daughter, Marilyn Logsdon; four grandsons, Steven, Ronnie, Jody and Shane Swager; three brothers, Tom, Jake and Woody Hopper.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Susie and Randy Swager; two sisters, Betty Kyees and Francis Kiser, of Odessa, Texas; two grandsons, one granddaughter and many much loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
All services will be private.

Dina Robertson
1919-2012
Dina Robertson, age 93, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18.
Se was born in Chicago, Ill., on July 27, 1919, to George and Rose Frugoli.
Dina is survived by her daughter, Diane Robertson, of Los Lunas. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
