A. D. Correll
A. D. Correll, age 92, a resident of Belen, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, after a short illness.
He was a proud veteran of WWII and served 28 months in the Pacific Theatre. His unit was the 864th Army Aviation Engineers, which have gone down in history as one of the best, and is still an active unit serving in the current conflict.
A. D. was an engineer on the AT&SF Railroad for 43 years, and loved his job. He was also a talented carpenter, and built the home where his family was raised.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; son, Monte; and 12 brothers and sisters.
A. D. is survived by his daughter, Maxine Scripter and her husband, Larry, of Belen; grandson, Andy Correll of Las Cruces; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12.  Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in A. D.’s name.

Mary Dotson
Mary Dotson, age 84, a resident of Socorro, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 3.
She was born in Warboys, England, on May 18, 1928, to Leonard and Mary Baldock. Mary was the wife of the late Carl E. Dotson, whom she met after WWII and subsequently married.
She moved to the United States in 1953, eventually settling in Socorro. Mary had many friends and was a member of the Birthday Club, which consisted of her friends who were also living in Socorro with little or no family members to share their special day with.
Mary is survived by her children, Carol Dotson and David Dotson, both of Socorro; and her only grandson, Bryce Sandoval.
A very loving mother, and Nans’ will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her. She had a great British accent and was always cheerful to all.
She wished no services or memorial to honor her life and that her ashes to be placed with those of Carl at White Oaks, N.M.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to her friends for their wishes as well as Presbyterian Hospital and Good Samaritan Nursing Home staff for their great care during her time of need.

Jim “Jimmy” Paul Maez
Jim “Jimmy” Paul Maez of Los Lunas was born on March 6, 1954, and died Jan. 3.
He was a loving father, grandfather and brother, and is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shelly Maez; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Justin Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Jim Paul and Laura Maez; granddaughters, Jalynn Voorhies and Jaycee Rey Vega, Lily and Olivia Maez; and grandson, Jeb Voorhies. He is also survived by his brother, Harold Maez; and sisters, Yolanda McKinley and Hilda Montano.
He was preceded in death by his father, Polo; and mother, Arcida Maez.
Jimmy was a successful welder, concrete plant manager, heavy equipment operator and owner and operator of Available Self Storage.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, dancing, playing golf and cowboying. Jimmy was a long-time volunteer of the 4-H and FFA organizations in Moriarty, and loved working with the children and animals in the community.
He will be greatly missed by his large extended family and many friends.
Please join our family in a celebration of his life to be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Parish in Peralta at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 11.

Thelma Jean Martin
Thelma Jean Martin, age 82, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away on Monday, Jan. 7.

David Lawrence Wulf
David Lawrence Wulf, age 69, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
Dave was a member of Valley Lutheran Church in Los Lunas. He was born in the Midwest and grew up on the West Coast. He then resided in the mountains of Colorado.
In 1984, he relocated his family to New Mexico. He was a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash. Dave worked as a teacher, sales representative and in management. He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Alice Powell Wulf. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Wulf; three children, sons, Patrick and wife, Yvette, and Richard and wife, Kelly; daughter, Suzanne Chavez and husband, Craig; six grandchildren, Patrick Jr., Jolene, Adelina, David, Cash and Eva; and sister, Ruth and husband, Jerry Ogburn, and their two children and five grandchildren.
All services will be held at Valley Lutheran Church, 3259 N.M. 47, on Saturday, Jan. 12, beginning with a visitation at 11:30 a.m., and with a funeral service to be held at noon p.m. Interment will be held at a later date.
