THE FIBER TO FINISH Guild of Valencia County will hold its January meeting at noon at the Los Lunas Museum of Heritage and Arts. The meeting coincides with the opening of the “Colors of Enchantment” exhibit, which is an exercise in using color from a photograph or illustration to inspire fiber artists in producing a fiber product. There will be live demonstration, refreshments and a presentation by Myra Chang Thompson, guild president, on “Jerga — the Textile of Commerce.” The show will continue through April 28. Los Lunas Middle School is home to seventh- and eighth-grade students and Katherine Gallegos Elementary is home to first- sixth-grade students. Students participate for 2 1/2 days in public school instruction in language arts and math while the other  2 1/2 days students are home schooled in science and social studies.
