Charles C. Blanton Sr.
Charles C. Blanton Sr., age 90 died Saturday, Feb. 9, in Bullhead City, Ariz. He was born Nov. 9,1922, in Tucumcari.
Mr. Blanton was a veteran of WWII and was in Alaska during the war doing war work for the government. He was a life-long salesmen.
Prior to his retirement, he spent most of his adult life raising his two children and several foster children in the Albuquerque area. After the death of his wife, he spent time with his children traveling in Montana, Colorado, New Mexico, Hawaii and Arizona.
Mr. Blanton was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude, of 43 years; his parents and his two brothers.
Mr. Blanton is survived by his daughter, Sally Foster of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and his son, Charles C. Blanton Jr. and his wife, Anne, of Los Lunas; five grandchildren, Angela, Laura, Jessica, Charles, and Jacqueline; seven great-grandchildren, Patrick, Courtney, Austin, Alexis, Tyler, Mathew and James; and one great-great grandson, Kyan; and many nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held at the home of his son, Charles Blanton Jr., 820 Monte Vista Dr. NE, Los Lunas, at 5 p.m., Saturday. Feb. 16.
JoAnn Carmichael Jennings
JoAnn Carmichael Jennings passed away Feb. 10, 2013, at 11:02 p.m., born in Los Angelas, Calif., on Dec. 14, 1955.
She was is survived by her three sons, Brian and Toby Jennings of Las Vegas, Nev., and Steven Worrell of Oregon; and her two grandsons, Larz and Liam Jennings of Las Vegas, Nev.
She was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
David R. Long Sr.
David R. Long Sr., age 52, a resident of Belen, passed away on Monday, Feb. 11.
A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel at 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, with a celebration of life at 6 p.m. Interment will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19.

Samuel A. Main Jr.
Samuel A. Main Jr., age 83, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

Gertrude Miller, age 84, a resident of Belen, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16.
She was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. She graduated from Minot State Teachers College in 1950, and then taught elementary grades in North Dakota for 3 1/2 years.
She went on to graduate from Gale Institute at Minneapolis, Minn., for training in railroading. After completion, she went to work for Santa Fe Railroad in Amarillo, Texas, in 1951, and retiring in Belen as a train order operator in 1989 after 39 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lydia Reinowski; and brothers, Francis and wife, Veronica Reinowski, and James and wife, Agnes Reinowski.
Gertrude is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Melvin Miller; sons, Neal Miller and Kent Miller and wife, Susan; grandsons, Michael, Jason, Mare and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Colin, Sarah, Hailey and Lynesia; and brother, Lawrence Reinowski and wife, Tillie of North Dakota.
Services will be held at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, Saturday, Feb. 23, beginning with a memorial service at 2 p.m., with a reception to follow.
The family would like to thank Belen Meadows and Belen Ambercare for their love and care for Gertrude.

Natalie A. Peters, age 80, a resident of Socorro, passed away Friday, Feb. 15.

Michael Starchman, age 39, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31. He loved music and drawing.
He is survived by his daughter, Sadie Starchman; mother, Joyce Starchman; sister, Regina Haskins and husband, Victor; and two nephews and one niece, Justin and Ariana Stochman, and Dakota Jolliff.
A memorial service will be held at the Noblin Funeral Service Los Lunas Chapel, 2211-D Main St., at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19. Interment will be private.
