Los Lunas boys on to the Pit

No. 13 seed Santa Fe made it tough in the final quarter, but No. 3 seed  Los Lunas hit 5-of-6 from the free throw line in the last two minutes to stave off the Demons, 76-68.

The Tigers got balanced scoring, led by Ben Romero with 22 points. Jacob Holland and Chris Sanchez put in 12 each, while Quentin Mullins finished with 10.

Next up for the Tigers will be Capital in the 6:30 Class 4A state quarterfinal game at the The University of New Mexico arena on Wednesday night. The No. 6 seed Jaguars downed No. 11 Moriarty, 50-39.
