AN OPENING RECEPTION will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. for the Kitchen Show at Tomé Art Gallery. Artists will who everything from pottery to fiber and all kinds of things in between. The scholarship is open to all seniors who are pursuing higher education in the fall. Any college-bound student, or students planning on attending specialized technical and vocational institutions are encouraged to apply. There will be two $500 scholarships awarded. THE PILOT CLUB OF BELEN will be at Eagle Park in Belen to raise funds for “Paws & Stripes.” This is a non-profit that pairs veterans with either TBI or PTSD with dogs from rescue shelters to train the veterans and the dog together so that dog becomes a service dog for just that veteran.

PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING to the Belen Area Food Pantry which depends exclusively on gifts to provide food for eligible families within the Belen Consolidated School District. The food pantry can purchase 2,000 pounds of food for less than $300. The food pantry, located at 115 S.
