Joe A. Carabajal
Died 2013
Joe A. Carabajal, age 85, a lifelong resident of Los Lunas, died Wednesday, April 3.
He is survived by his children, Gloria Lovato and husband, Fred, and Joe E. Carabajal and wife, Alicia; grandchildren, Ava and Arlene Lovato and Jose Antonio Carabajal; sisters, Elizabeth Olguin, Peggy Torres, and Louise Zamora and husband, Benny; and brothers, Frank Carabajal and wife, Flora, Elfigo Carabajal and wife, Adelina, Philip Carabajal and wife, Beatrice, and Lorenzo Carabajal and wife, Kaylee.
Mr. Carabajal retired from the railroad after 40 years.
A Rosary and Mass took place Tuesday, April 9, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta.  Interment took place in the Peralta Cemetery.

Rex O. Kneedler, Sgt.,  USAF (ret.)
1928-2013
Rex O. Kneedler, age 84, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away on Tuesday, April 2.
He retired as a tech sergeant in the United States Air Force after serving for 23 years. He then worked in the copper mines in Arizona, and as a superintendent for Cutler Repaving until 1981.
Rex was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Nora Kneedler; parents, Clyde and Bertha Foster Kneedler; daughter, Rita Kathleen Grandstaff in 1995; three sons, Rex O. Jr. in 1969, Rory Shawn in 1981, and Randal Lee in 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary; daughters, Robin Elaine Finlayson of Boca Raton, Fla., and Ramona Kay Mayle (Richard) of Bosque Farms; sister, Margia Bryant (Eddy); four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Farewell our husband, father and friend. He requested cremation with no services.

Gilbert A. Montoya
1943-2013
Gilbert A. Montoya, age 69, a resident of Belen, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 3. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church.
Gilbert loved life and all beautiful women, but his greatest love was his wife, Regina, and his family. Gilbert was a loving man with a heart of gold, who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He was the world’s greatest grandfather and dad. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina Montoya; grandson, Daniel Silva; and sons, Toby Montoya, Robert and Tony Gallegos.
Gilbert is survived by his daughter, Beatrice; son, Anthony; stepchildren, Mary, Molly, Teresa, Jennie, Mary Lou, Sally, Mabel, Danny, Andy and Manuel; grandchildren, Orlando, Leandra, Lisa, Phillip Sr., Alyvia, Daniel and his little angel, Dymund; and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous other loving family members who all loved him very much.
A viewing and Rosary were held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, April 9. A final visitation and Funeral Mass were held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 10. Interment followed at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Toby, Orlando, Phillip Sr., Phillip Jr., Fidel and Lawrence. Honorary pallbearer was Jonathan.

Elizabeth LeeAnn  Plata-Collins
2010-2013
Elizabeth LeeAnn Plata-Collins, age 3, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 3.
She is survived by her mother, Amanda Collins; father, Carlos Plata; brother, Santiago Plata; and numerous other family members and friends.
A viewing was held at the Noblin Funeral Service Los Lunas Chapel, beginning Monday, April 8, and a funeral service was held Tuesday, April 9.

Clara Dorothy Tafoya
1914-2013
Clara Dorothy Tafoya, age 98, a resident of Bosque Farms, passed away on Friday, April 5.
She was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Kelly, N.M. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta.
Clara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and bake for her family. She loved making arts and crafts. She made a lot of nice crafts and gave them to family and friends. Clara also had a green thumb for planting.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Melcor Tafoya; mother, Abigail Nuñez; two sisters, Stella Chavez and Helen Chavez; and one brother, Dennis Nuñez.
Clara is survived by her two sons, Antonio Tafoya and wife, Kathy, and Ben Tafoya and wife, Lupe; one daughter, Margie Zamora and husband, Pete; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one brother, Julian Nuñez and wife, Emma; and two sisters, Laura Geier and husband, Carl and Benina Sanchez.
All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Thursday, April 11, beginning with a viewing at 10 a.m., a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Valencia Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jude Tafoya, Christopher Tafoya, April Tafoya, Monique Rivera, Magdalene Romero, Adrian Zamora and Dominic Zamora.
