Ellen J. Bogart
Ellen J. Bogart, age 70, a resident of Belen, passed away on Saturday, June 1.
She kept her heart in Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ruby Copeland Goodman. Ellen is survived by her husband, Paul Bogart.

Jose “Tony” Antonio Gabaldon
Jose “Tony” Antonio Gabaldon, age 85, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away on Tuesday, June 4. He was a member of San Clemente Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Gabaldon; parents, Eutimio and Martina Cordova Gabaldon; three brothers, Benito, Jesse and Marcos; and two sisters, Vidal Fajardo and Julia Torres.
Tony is survived by his brother, Ismael Gabaldon and wife, Emma; two sisters, Barbara Griego and Carmen Baldonado and husband, Reymundo. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
All services will be held at San Clemente Catholic Church on Saturday, June 8, beginning with a viewing at 9 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at San Clemente Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be R.C. Baldonado, Max Gabaldon, Leo Gabaldon, Ryan Marquez and Jesse Gabaldon Jr.

Lottie W. Garrison
Died 2013
Lottie W. Garrison, 94, of New Haven, Ind., formerly of Belen and Daretown, N.J., died May 29, at home.
Born in Woodbury, N.J., she was the daughter of the late David and Mable Wallace. Lottie loved needlework, crossword puzzles, bingo and meeting people. She and her husband, Henry, enjoyed traveling the USA for many years after retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Henry; children, Alice (Fieldy) Dize, of Fort Wayne, and David (Audrey) Garrison, of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and two nephews and their families. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Emily Browning.

Estrella Hartly (Ines Barela)

Estrella Hartly (Ines Barela), 38, of Aurora, Colo., formerly of Belen, passed away on Memorial Day, May 27.
Estrella (Ines) was born to Max and Lupe Barela, of Belen.
Estrella (Ines) moved to Aurora, Colo., where she lived and worked for nearly 16 years. While living in Aurora, Estrella (Ines) was a trapeze artist and co-owned an events production company.
Estrella (Ines) is survived by daughters, Vegas and Rio DeWine; fiancé, Seth Wells; parents, Max and Lupe Barela; sisters, Angela and Antoinette Barela; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah Barela-Rand and Geoffrey Rand; brother and sister-in-law, Max Jr. and Ramoncita Barela; brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Melissa Barela; aunt, Florance Rocha; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by all four of her grandparents.
A memorial Mass celebrating her life was held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Aurora, Colo., on Friday, May 31.

Sunday Jean Hutcherson
Sunday Jean Hutcherson, age 55, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, June 2.
She was born and raised in Reserve, N.M. At age 16, she moved to Belen, and currently lived and worked in Albuquerque. Sunday was an amazing woman with an outstanding personality that everyone loved. She enjoyed movies, music, dancing, going to concerts and family gatherings in Reserve and Red River.
Family and friends were very important to her. She loved spending time with them. The highlight of her life was spending time with her great niece, Serenity, and great nephew, Zayden. They loved their T.T. Sunday was dearly loved and will be remembered in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her, grandparents, Clarence and Alice Stevens; mother, Mildred Hutcherson; and brother, Shane Hutcherson.
Sunday is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Villinueva; father, Van Hutcherson; sister, Sandra Hoselton and husband, Jim Hoselton; brothers, Bob Hutcherson and wife, Denise Hutcherson, and Albert Hutcherson and wife, Tina Hutcherson; nephews, John Costanza, Cody Hoselton, Casey Hoselton and Blaine Hutcherson; nieces, Brenda Hutcherson, Bobbie Joe Hutcherson, Maranda Patterson, Shanea Hutcherson, Tasha Hutcherson and Tayna Hutcherson; a great niece, several great nephews, her cat, Suzie Q, and many loving friends.
A funeral service will be held at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 8.

David Shannon Kibbe Jr.
David Shannon Kibbe Jr., age 41, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away Sunday, May 26.
He was born in Amarillo, Texas, on Sept. 20, 1971. David loved playing soccer when he was young and was leading scorer on State Championship U-14 Altura Eagles.
He became a successful general contractor, but his biggest loves were his family, friends, fishing and music. He also was an avid hunter. David had tremendous influence on his family and friends’ lives and will be deeply missed.  David was a devoted Christian and has joined the “Lord Jesus” in heaven.
David is survived by his parents, David E. and Rachel Kibbe; his sister, Renessa and husband, Eric Garcia; nieces, Alexandria and Jade; his grandmother, Eva Casebier; his uncles, Greg Casebier and wife, Kiela, Tom Garcia and wife, Christy, Al Garcia and wife, Irma, Clyde Dwayne Kibbe and wife, Karen; his cousins, Isaac, Julie, J.D., Kasey, Jodi, Nichol, Erika, Simone and Mariah and many other family and friends. He is also survived by his much loved two dogs, and his fish, “The King.”
A memorial service was held Saturday, June 1, at Calvary Chapel Southwest in Albuquerque. Interment will be held at a later date.

Ernest B. Perea
Ernest B. Perea, a longtime resident of La Puente, went home to be with Lord on May 14. He was born in Belen.
He was very active serving the Lord in his church. Ernest was a U.S. Navy veteran and he completed a superlative career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
His love and commitment to family and God underscored his passion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Perea.
He is survived by his five children, son, Ernest M. Perea MD; and daughters, Frances Garcia, Rita Murdock, Kathy Gray and Zoe Ann Gamboa; sons-in-law, Dennis Murdock, George Gray and Sergio Gamboa; daughter-in-law, Rita Perea; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Manuel Perea; sisters, Margaret Baca and Mary Carrejo.
His funeral services was held Monday, May 20, at St. Louis of France, and burial, with full military honors, followed at Riverside National Cemetery.

Antonia Villegas-Rodriquez
Antonia Villegas-Rodriquez was born on March 31, 1936, in El Paso, Texas, and passed away on Sunday, June 2, in Albuquerque, at the age of 77.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosario; and father, Jesus; son, Willie; daughter, Becky; grandson, J.J.; sister, Inez; and stepfather, Lorenzo.
Antonia is survived by her daughter, Alicia Boyar; brother, Chuy Villegas; sister, Rose Duran; grandson, Matthew Reid; as well as other grandsons, a granddaughter, great-grandchildren and other family members and friends who loved her and will miss her.
Family services will take place.
