THE FOURTH ANNUAL Belen Alexander Airport fly-in and open house will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will include a pancake breakfast, food vendors, antique and experimental plans, classic cars, medical  helicopters, Skydive New Mexico demonstrations, Young Eagles EEA Chapter free rides for children 8 to 17 years old. The airport is located two miles west of Interstate 25 on Camino del Llano in Belen.
VALENCIA FAMILY HEALTH CARE is hosting its annual Fall Carnival from 2 to 5 p.m. at 311 S. Los Lentes in Los Lunas. Volunteer attorneys are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to explain court process, answer legal questions and help with legal paperwork. THE BUSINESS WOMEN of Valencia County will be holding its fourth annual Girls Just Want to Have Fun shopping spree from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Tierra del Sol Country Club in Rio Communities. The profits of the event will benefit community outreach programs.

CLEARINGHOUSE FOR HOLIDAY food baskets for the Belen area is being set up by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Applications will be prioritized according to need and will be taken from Oct. 17 to Nov. 20. To avoid duplication, churches, organizations and schools are invited to participate.
