FREE COURT CLINIC is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the first-floor jury management room at the Valencia County Courthouse. Volunteer attorneys are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to explain court process, answer legal questions and help with legal paperwork. Free legal forms are available for a variety of cases and issues.

THE ANNUAL DITCH Bank Bandits Fishing Derby at the River Park in Los Lunas will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23. The event is free, and there will be games and prizes for the kids as well as for the winners in the men’s, women’s and children’s categories. There will also be free food and drink. The derby is sponsored by the Ditch Bank Bandits, Los Lunas Open Space, N.M. Game and Fish and the Middle Rio Grande Conservancy District.

TUESDAY, NOV. 19
A CUT-A-THON, benefiting Nikki Lardner, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hair Innovations, 403 S. Main St. in Belen. The cost is $10 per haircut. A bake sale will also take place. All of the proceeds will be given to Lardner, who was injured in a car accident last month. For information, call 864-4337.
THURSDAY, NOV. 28
A THANKSGIVING DINNER will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Rio Communities. Organizers of the weekly soup kitchen will driving around to pick up those who need rides to the church to enjoy a meal with family, brothers and sisters in Christ. There will be no soup kitchen on Friday, Nov. 29.
