THE BELEN ART LEAGUE will hold two workshops, including “Spectacular Starburst Scarf Workshop” from 10:30 a.m. to noon, where participants will be creating a silk scarf with two to three colors of dye and starburst salt effects. The cost is $30, plus a $5 materials fee. The second workshop, “Silk Painting,” will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., where participants will use  water-based resist to outline the design of your choice then paint with custom mixed colors to create a one-of-a-kind silk scarf. TICKET SALES the Belen Art League’s annual Valentine’s Tea, which raises money for scholarships, are currently on sale. The tea will have two seatings at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9.
