A FREE PERFORMANCE of “S/he Loves Me, S/he Loves Me Not” by The Mansion Players will be presented at noon the Belen Public Library to celebrate Valentine’s Day. This is a series of letters written by famous (or infamous) lovers through the years. It is presented by guest actors from Albuquerque under the auspices of The Mansion Players of Valencia County.
CONTINUING
FIBER TREASURERS, the current exhibit at the Belen Harvey House Museum, features hand-made fiber arts by local artists, who will be displaying their work until Saturday, Feb. 15. Items include knitting, needlework, wearable art and weaving. Special demonstrations are scheduled and a percentage of all proceeds will be donated to the museum. The hours are 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday; 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
TICKET SALES the Belen Art League’s annual Valentine’s Tea, which raises money for scholarships, are currently on sale. The tea will have two seatings at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. There will desserts, sandwiches, tea and coffee and a fashion show. The cost is $8 per ticket, which are available at the Belen Art League Gallery, 509 Becker Ave., in Belen. Seating is limited. They will be able to work in other programs throughout the state if they move elsewhere in New Mexico.

She needs donations of books for her students who are a diverse group of readers She needs both non-fiction and fiction books of any genre. Those interested can drop off the books at the school.
BELEN HIGH SCHOOL is holding a fundraiser through Feb. 16 and are collecting jeans for homeless teens. Those who can donate are asked to drop off the jeans at the BHS main office.
