Bosque Farms re-elect incumbents
It wasn't a hotly contested race in the village of Bosque Farms but they managed to elect two councilors, Bill Kennedy and Russ Walkup, incumbents who both ran unopposed.
Kennedy took 47 votes, while Walkup earned 40.
Even though he ran unopposed, Kennedy wanted to thank all the voters for "having the confidence in me for another term." He was elected to his first term in 2006.
In the next four years, Kennedy said he hopes to see the village secure the funding it needs to expand its waste water treatment facility.
"With Peralta wanting to join, we need another clarifier and solidifier," Kennedy said. "It's my understanding that project is on the short list for the governor to sign.
"We are doing well money wise; we are just trying to stay above water."
Walkup, who begins his second term, could not be reached for comment before News-Bulletin press time.
In total, there were 49 ballots cast in Tuesday's election, 15 of which were from early voters. There were no absentee ballots cast.
