THE RIO COMMUNITIES Association is offering a college scholarship to a deserving high school senior living in the city of Rio Communities. Applications and instructions can be picked up from the senior counselor at Belen High School or Valencia High School. Students attending other high schools should contact the RCA office to pick up materials or call the office at 861-0090 or drop by, 372 Rio Communities Blvd., during office hours (2 to 4 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday). HISPANO CHAMBER of Valencia County is accepting applications for Valencia County graduating high school seniors and Valencia County students attending college. RAYMOND GABALDON Elementary will provide a K-3 Plus program June 3 through July 8 for students attending RGE in the 2014-15 school year. The program will provide an additional 25 days of instruction to better prepare students for the upcoming school year.  The school schedule will be 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Instruction will focus on the core areas of math, reading with art and technology included in the instructional schedule.
