ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS are being offered by the nonprofit New Mexico Friends of Foster Children for teens and young adults who spend time in the state’s foster care system and want to attend or are attending a community college or university, a specialized training program, an internship, study abroad or other education or training program. The scholarships provide up to $1,000 toward educational and related expenses and will be awarded to aspiring students. The deadline to apply is June 2. RAYMOND GABALDON Elementary will provide a K-3 Plus program June 3 through July 8 for students attending RGE in the 2014-15 school year.
