Cantrells celebrate 50th wedding anniversary
Robert and Aneta Cantrell, of Los Lunas will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 17. The couple were married in 1964 in Farwell, Texas.
Robert graduated from Clovis High School and is a past member of the New Mexico Facility Managers Network.
He retired from Santa Fe Railroad in 1994 after 28 years. He was the regional manager for Dominion Asset Services from 1994-2010. Afterward, he formed his own consulting business.
He enjoys playing golf and traveling.
Aneta, who has an associate degree from Amarillo College, was a substitute teacher in Los Lunas Schools until her retirement in 2007. After receiving her degree, she worked as a draftsperson and then became a substitute teacher.
She enjoys genealogy, traveling and spoiling their grandchildren.
The couple belongs to Valley Christian Church.
Their daughters are Julie and Patrick Diercks, of Albuquerque, and Janice and Thomas Young, of Amarillo, Texas.
They have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Their children are taking the couple to a resort in Jamaica to celebrate their anniversary.
