Jack L. Hallatt
Jack L. Hallatt, age 101, a resident of Belen, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014.
All services were held at Riverside Baptist Church, 1601 Bridge Blvd. SW, Albuquerque, NM, 87103 on Monday, Aug. 18. Interment will be held at a later date.

Eric Henry Jaramillo
Eric Henry Jaramillo, age 52, beloved son, brother, father and grandfather, went to be with our Lord on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014.
Eric, above anything, adored his mom, his dad and his children, and loved spending time with them. Eric will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry T. and Casianita Jaramillo; maternal grandparents, Willie and Manuelita Sanchez; brother, Edward (Eddie) Andrew Jaramillo; and many beloved family members.
Eric is survived by his loving parents, Henry and Elsie Jaramillo, of Belen; sisters, Paulette Jaramillo Hartman, Judy Janelle Haikin and husband, Glen, and Cristina Jaramillo, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Erica Montoya and husband, Benjamin, and their children, Benjamin III, Stefon, Damion and Mercedes, all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, James Jaramillo and wife, Anne, and baby Jaramillo, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; daughters, Breanne Serna, of Albuquerque, and Jenna Jaramillo, of Bosque Farms; niece, Triana and husband, Trent, and their children, Christopher and Lila, of Denver, Colo.; nephew, Troy Hartman, of Albuquerque; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Friday, Aug. 22, beginning with a viewing at 8:30 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with Father Valadez presiding. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.

M. Dean McCabe
On Aug. 7, 2014, M. Dean McCabe, 74, departed this world doing what he loved on his property near the Groundhog Reservoir in Colorado, the place he loved best.
Dean was born May 13, 1940, in Cortez, Colo., to Frances and Thelma (Gawith) McCabe. He married Roberta (Roark) McCabe, his wife of 50 years, on June 25, 1964, in Cortez, Colo.
Dean loved spending time with his family, running trains as a locomotive engineer for the Santa Fe and BNSF railroads, and spending his vacations and retirement hunting and fishing in the mountains of Colorado with his family and friends.
Dean’s legacy lives on in his wife, Roberta; four children, Mark (Raelene), Michael (Kim), Dawn (Ray) and Gerald (Tracy); brothers, Pat (Nene), Rex (Terry) and Reed (Nihla); sister-in-law, Beth; three grandchildren, Dean (Rachael), Christopher (ReNae) and Justin (Lori); two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Parker; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jay.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.

Terry J. Nowlin
Terry J. Nowlin, age 56, a resident of Veguita, formerly of Waynesville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014.

Carmen Sanchez, age 86, a resident of Jarales, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to the late Manuel and Fedelina Trujillo on Oct. 15, 1927. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Vincent de Paul. She also donated her time and money to the orphanages of Mexico and abroad.
She enjoyed cooking and serving those in need on Good Friday. Carmen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was very well liked and respected by everyone who knew her and will be very greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Elfego G. Sanchez; sisters, Lola Trujillo, Bessie Baca, Eutimia Montoya and Josie Molina; brothers, Eulario and Erlindo Trujillo.
Carmen is survived by her children, Angie Lopez and husband, Fermine, Alfred Sanchez and wife, Linda, Henry Sanchez and wife, Jenny, Donna Avila and husband, Alfred, and Regina Jaramillo and husband, Patrick; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, Cida Trujillo and Rosie Leveque and husband, Larry; sister-in-law, Christina Sanchez; and brother-in-law, Alfred McGill. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Wednesday, Aug. 20, with Father Stephen Schultz presiding. Interment followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Russell Avila, Eric Jaramillo, Horacio Romero, Jeremy Minnich, Elfego Lopez and Jared Sanchez.

George E. Woodard Sr.
George E. Woodard Sr., age 71, a resident of Belen, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, after a five-year battle with cancer.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez with Pastor Boyd Morerod. George retired from the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Los Lunas after many years of outstanding service. He also was a correctional officer in Santa Fe during one of the most violent prison riots in the history of the American correctional system.
George proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War on aircraft carriers, where he received numerous medallions.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Frances R. “Red” Bassett, who served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War; and Jake O’Melia, who also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and one sister, Peggy Rodrick.
George is survived by his brother, Chili Martinez, who served in the United States Navy with George during the Vietnam War; former spouse, Pam Woodard; sons, George E. Woodard Jr., Ramon, Robert and Conrad Castrellon; daughters, Mary and Teeda Castrellon; two grandchildren, Monique and Ashley Woodard; nephews and nieces, Chris Shipley, C.J. Bassett, Jamie Bassett, Anthony Bassett, Joceloyn Johnson, Joey O’Melia, Trudy O’Melia, Chrisy O’Melia and Lilly O’Melia; and a special thank you to his nephew, Damian Okrasinski.
All services were held at the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez on Tuesday, Aug. 19, with Pastor Boyd Morerod officiating. Interment will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
