Saturday, August 23, 2008 Golden anniversary celebrated by ColladosBosque Farms Ruben and Anne Collado of Bosque Farms are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. Ruben Collado and the former Anne Brand met while attending a New Year's Eve party in New York. They were married on Aug. 30, 1958, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in the Bronx.
Anne retired from the Bell telephone system as a technical assistant in the engineering department. She worked at New York Bell, Southern Bell in Florida, Mountain Bell in Gallup and US West in Albuquerque. She now volunteers at the Museum of Natural History and Science, is a member of the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and belongs to several dog, doll and mineral clubs. Both are active with their dogs, showing their komodor and puli, now taking them on the road in their R.V.
They have six grandchildren, Jeremiah Wilson of Las Cruces, David Collado of Socorro and Savannah Van Zile and Charlton, Zachary and Sophia Collado, all of Albuquerque. The Collados are planning a trip to Durango, Colo., in the future to celebrate.
