Sitting in what will soon be his former office at the University of New Mexico Tennis Complex, former UNM men's tennis coach Alan Dils pauses, then begins to reflect on his time at the school — first as a player then as an assistant coach, then as the school's winningest head coach in 18 years of coaching.

Seven play for South All-Stars

LLHS’ Holland, Sanchez wrap prep years with win

Los Lunas High's Jacob Holland started the scoring for the South All-Stars, but former Tiger Chris Sanchez ended the North All-Stars chances as Holland and Sanchez helped the South win the annual Class 4A/5A North-South All-Star boys basketball game 118-115 at West Mesa High School Thursday night.

Belen High duo close out careers

Belen High's Katee Elkins-Romero and Gilbert Devlin may not have expected to be playing in this week's State Tennis North-South All-State matches, but they certainly enjoyed the experience.

Belen's Taylar Jaramillo said she was so disappointed after her second round at the 71st annual Albuquerque Women's Golf Championship that she left without checking the leaders board at all.

By her own estimation, Bosque's Lyndsey Orris was seconds away from either winning a national championship in goat tying or finishing 20th at the recent National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Des Moines, Iowa.
