Los Lunas boys, girls take fourth place at APS Invite

The Los Lunas boys and girls swim squads finished fourth in the their third meet of the year at the APS Mini Invitational hosted at the West Mesa Aquatic Center in Albuquerque, while the Valencia girls and boys finished in the bottom half of the seven-team meet.

The Los Lunas and Belen boys basketball teams both went undefeated on the week while Valencia gained some insight playing up north at the Española Tournament this past weekend.

The New Mexico Activities Association denied the appeals of 16 of 17 schools heard on Thursday, Dec. 5, leaving the Belen Consolidated Schools and Los Lunas Schools to consider their options going into the 2014-15 athletic season.

The 2012-13 wrestling season ended with the Los Lunas and Belen High School teams finishing second and third behind Class 4A titans, Farmington Piedra Vista.
