Ruben and Cicilia Chavez, of Belen, happily celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 29.
They were married at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Aug. 29, 1970.
They have three children, Melissa Chavez, Ruben Chavez Jr., Emilio (Kimberley) Chavez; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
