Robert Warren and Barbara Warren

1943-2020 | 1936-2020

Robert Warren and Barbara Warren

Robert “Papa Bob” Bruce Warren, 77, joined his wife, Barbara, along with their daughter, Laura, and son, Robbie, at the side of the Lord on July 27, 2020.

Bob was, by his own description, a man without credentials or titles, except the ones given to him by those who loved him: Papa Bob or the indomitable Coot Vicious.

He spent his life learning how to be a “decent human being,” a journey that took him from Detroit, Mich., and ultimately, Los Lunas.

He is survived and missed by many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with the innumerable lives he touched during his time with us.

We ask that donations be made in his memory to either Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless or Black Lives Matter Detroit.

Barbara “Baba” Laubach Warren, 84, reunited with her daughter, Laura and son, Robbie, in heaven on July 25, 2020.

Born in Ponca City, Okla., she called New Mexico her home for the last three decades.

“There is love that has lasted and made everything more than it ever could have been alone.” That line, written by her husband, Bob, characterized what Barbara created and nurtured in every space she entered.

Her grace shone upon her family, friends and community without requisite or expectation and will continue to be felt beyond her life. Her greatest joy was her family, who she loved almost as much as her beloved dog, Amy.

She leaves behind three generations of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will love and miss their “Baba” for as long as they live.

We ask that donations be made in her memory to either El Ranchito de Los Ninos in Los Lunas, or Catholic Charities Immigration Services in Albuquerque.

Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Los Lunas Chapel, 2211-D Main St., 866-9992 noblin.com.
