Primary candidates announced by Secretary of State's office

Santa Fe The names of the candidates who will be running in the June 3 primary from districts that represent more than one county have been released by the Secretary of State's office. Those individuals had to file as candidates in Santa Fe. The information was unavailable on Tuesday, the filing day, at News-Bulletin press time.

The candidates are:

State Senate Dist. 14

  • Democrats Al Armijo of Tijeras; Eric Griego of Albuquerque; and incumbent James Taylor of Albuquerque.

  • No candidate filed for the Republican primary.

    The district includes parts of Valencia and Bernalillo counties.

    State Senate Dist. 30

  • Democrats June Lorenzo of Paguate; Clemente Sanchez of Grants; and incumbent David Ulibarri of Grants.

  • Republican Jose A. Silva of Grants.

    The district covers portions of Valencia, Cibola and Socorro counties.

    State Representative

    Dist. 10

  • Incumbent Henry "Kiki" Saavedra, an Albuquerque Democrat, is unopposed. The district includes portions of Valencia and Bernalillo counties.

    State Representative

    Dist. 49

  • Incumbent Republican Don Tripp of Socorro is unopposed. The district includes parts of Valencia, Socorro and Catron counties.

    13th Judicial District Attorney

  • Democratic incumbent Lemuel Martinez is unopposed.

    The 13th Judicial District includes Valencia, Sandoval and Cibola counties.
