Good Friday Balloon Flight, Tome Hill

A handful of Good Friday pilgrims gather at the top of Tomé Hill last week. The number of people participating in the pilgrimage was significantly reduced this year and last due to COVID-19 restrictions. This view of the hill from above was courtesy of a hot air balloon ride with pilot Brittany Campbell of Tomé. Campbell and other pilots sold Good Friday flights as a fund raiser for the town of Tomé Land Grant, the owner of the hill. After propane expenses, the flights raised $1,135 for the land grant.
For more information about purchasing tickets for a flight, call Brittany Campbell at 239-3733 or visit her website at flyalbuquerque.com.
