The Center for Ageless Living will be hosting its 12th annual Free Luncheon, “Honoring the Elders of Valencia County.”

“Each year, this event welcomes and recognizes local residents over the age of 85 and Senior Olympians who we look forward to having back year after year,” said Suzette Lindemuth, director of the center.

Get ready for a family-oriented variety show, including magic and illusion, music, dance and comedy, performed by The Veterans and Patriots Performance Group. The purpose of the Veterans and Patriots Performance Group is to provide a creative outlet for veterans, especially those with PTSD and other disabilities, and to raise funds for the VFW National Home for Children in Eaton Rapids, Mich.

The luncheon menu will include the Green House Bistro and Bakery’s fried chicken, calabacitas, potato salad, homemade rolls, ice tea and water and of course, apple pie for dessert.

The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 14, in the Community Park at the Center for Ageless Living, 3216 N.M. 47, Los Lunas. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 865-8813; caregiver escorts may also attend for free.

This event is made possible by generous donations from US Foods, Shamrock Foods, Valencia County Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Senior Living, Personal Living, the Center for Ageless Living and the staff at the Green House Bistro and Bakery. More information can be found at
