Registration ongoing for flag football
The city of Belen Community Center is currently holding registration for the 2019 boys and girls flag football season. The cost is $60. For information, contact Shawn Ammons at 966-2703.
BHS Cheer Camp
Belen High School Cheer will hold its youth camp from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aug. 2-3, at the BHS main gym for children in the second through seventh grades. The cost is $45 per child ($40 for each additional sibling.) Wear comfortable, athletic clothes and tennis shoes, hair should be in a high pony tail, and bring a water bottle. Each camper will receive lunch on both days, a BHS Cheer T-shirt, a bow, a photo and a certificate. Los Lunas High School Wrestling will host a cornhole doubles tournament on Saturday, Aug. 3. To register, contact Steven Chavez at 620-4290 or Daniel Martinez at (575) 621-9126.
Valencia Volleyball Camp
A volleyball camp, instructed by the Valencia High School volleyball coaches and team, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon, Aug. 5-6, at the Daniel Fernandez Recreation Center. LLHS Soccer Camp

Valencia County Senior Olympics is inviting all seniors 50 and older to join us for some fun events beginning in August.

• 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 14: Line dance at Del Rio Senior Center
• 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21: Line dance at Fred Luna Multigenerational Center in Los Lunas
• 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28: Line dance at Bosque Farms Community Center
