Jailbirds to be locked up for muscular dystrophy

Prominent Los Lunas business leaders will be incarcerated on Wednesday, April 17. Their crime: Being guilty of having a big heart.

The citizens will be sentenced to one hour in jail at K-Bob’s Steakhouse on 2350 Main St. They will be processed with a mug shot, fed and then given an opprtunity to make last-minute pleas to raise “bail” for the Muscular Dystrophy Associ-ation.

Anyone wishing to see members of their community locked up for good can stop by K-Bob’s from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 17.

Applications are being accepted by Youth Development Inc. of Valencia County for young people ages 14 to 21. Employment positions are on a part-time basis. Applicants must meet federal economic income guidelines. For information, call Frank Gurule or Doug Black, 869-3999.
