Local businesses giving out food

BOSQUE FARMS—Bosque Farms restaurant, Say Cheese, 1255 Bosque Farms Blvd., is offering a free meal to SNAP recipients 18-years-old and younger until the benefits return. Nicolette Quesada, owner of Say Cheese, says the meal includes a kid’s grilled cheese sandwich and Lay’s chips, no questions asked. No purchase is necessary, however the child must be present.

The Valencia County Resource Center, in Belen, in collaboration with Sandia Labs, handed out food boxes on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Dough Daddy’s Delights, 303 Rio Communities Blvd., is giving all children free pizza pasta for dinner from 4-6 p.m., every Monday and Wednesday.

The business is also using their Munchie Fund tips to sponsor family meals. Families can sign up for Friday or Sunday pickup. One family meal per household. For information, call 505-239-2724.
