Calvin Toddy Jr.
1982-2025
Our child, Calvin Kyle Toddy Jr., has journeyed to be with our Lord on Aug. 2, 2025, in Belen.
Born on June 3,1982, to Calvin K. Toddy Sr. of the Kinyaa’anii (Towering House People), Bit’ahnii (Folded Arms People), from Cecille Bennett-Luna of the Dibe’lzhini (Blacksheep People) Tabaahaa, (Waters Edge People).
Kyle resided in Belen. His generous spirit touched many. His infectious smile and laugh was loved by all. He was always the protector and always had his brothers’ back.
The love he had for his family was immeasurable and beyond words. Kyle never hesitated to speak his mind and have the last word. Cookouts were the best. Kyle could grill — it was his passion to fill empty bellies with love from the fire.
Fishing was another, although he always needed help to tie lures and bait. He also loved camping. He was a germaphobe but he managed no showers for a day.
Kyle attended Freedom Worship Center in Los Lunas where he loved to attend with such excitement. He found God again and his heart was full.
Kyle was a graduate from Job Corp. Welding was one passion of his. He always found it helping others with encouragement in joining the Union fields. Art was a gifted talent he also had also. To be able to draw a postage stamp to poster size was unreal.
He is survived by his loving wife, LeeAnn; and his sons, Calvin K. Toddy III and Dalani Toddy; his stepsons, Matthew Aragon and Patrick Martinez, of Belen; his sisters, Julianne Bighorse from Cameron, Ariz., and Eliza Toddy, of Gallup, Samantha Luna, of Belen and Karen Bedoni, of Window Rock, Ariz.; brothers, Keith Toddy, of Window Rock, Samuel Luna Jr., of Belen, and Joshua Toddy, of Crownpoint, N.M.
Kyle was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lafie Bennett; stepfather, Samuel Luna Sr.; and uncle, Ernie M.”Spike” Bennett; and paternal grandparents, Jimmy Toddy Sr., of Wide Ruins, Ariz., Elizabeth Roan-Bennett, of Pine Springs, Ariz.
Kyle’s memory will live on forever in our hearts and all who knew him. His laughter and love and devotion of family will always be cherished.
Services to be held on Friday, Aug. 15, at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley, 19381 N.M. 314, Belen, beginning with visitation at 9:30 a.m., and a reception at 07 Enrique Sanchez Road, Jarales, immediately following interment.
Interment will be at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen.
Jack Wroten
1986-2025
Our beloved Jack Leroy Wroten went to be with our heavenly Father on Aug. 6, 2025, at the age of 38.
Born on Sept. 16, 1986, Jack was a long-time resident of Los Lunas. Jack was a man who found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved the outdoors, whether he was camping or fishing.
He was a talented musician, who loved playing his guitar, and his passion for cooking was evident in his love of barbecuing (a skill he used to create memorable gatherings for his family and friends).
Above all, Jack’s greatest happiness came from being with his loved ones, especially his wife of 17 years, Francella, his children and the unbreakable bond he shared with his brother, Scott.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Gloria Wroten; his wife, Francella; their five children, Antonio, Leo, Jailey, Verity and Uriah; his brother, Scott; and nephews, Spearo and Sloan.
He was a proud godfather to Spearo and niece, Meeah.
