Voting Information & Polling Locations

Absentee by mail

Voters can request an absentee ballot now through Tuesday, Oct. 22, for the November general election. Ballots began to be mailed out on Tuesday, Oct. 8, for applications received before that date.

Absentee ballots can be requested by visiting nmvote.org or at the Valencia County Clerk’s Office, 444 Luna Ave., Los Lunas.

Voters can also download and fill out an absentee ballot request form and return it by mail or in person to the clerk's office.

If they are not returned by mail, absentee ballots can be returned in person at the following locations by 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5:

• Valencia County Clerk’s Office, 444 Luna Ave., Los Lunas

• Any of the early in-person or alternate early voting locations.

• Any of the 15 Voting Convenience Centers open on election day throughout the county.

• Any of the three secure absentee ballot drop boxes at:

Bosque Farms Public Library, 1455 W. Bosque Loop, Bosque Farms

Valencia County Administration Building, 444 Luna Ave., Los Lunas

Voters do not need to present photo ID to vote unless they have registered to vote in New Mexico for the first time and mailed in their registration form without including a copy of their ID or proof of residence. If that is the case, voters must provide identification at the voting site in order to vote.


Early, in-person voting

8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until Friday, Oct. 18

Alternate, early voting

10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, from Saturday, Oct. 19, through Saturday, Nov. 2
