These glass techniques can be used to make a variety of artwork, all shown at the Tomé Art Gallery’s exhibition, “Shaping Light: The Art of Glass.” Every piece of art shown is made by local artists. Glass items make great gifts. For example:

• Jewelry: pendants, earrings and beads

• Wall art, ready for hanging

• Tableware: plates, platters, vases and bowls

• Gallery members, Greg and Deb Schwirtz, make pendants and rings of dichroic glass. They will show new and exciting items

• The work of gallery member, Lavae Aldrich, demonstrates a variety of fused glass techniques. Come see her 3-dimensional “succulents”

• Guest artists from Albuquerque and Cedar Crest will bring crazy mosaics and charming stained glass animals
