Longs celebrate golden wedding anniversary
Richard and Cindy Long, of Adelino, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 27.
The couple was united in marriage in 1972 in Key West. Fla.
The couple have owned and operated Belen Goju Ryu Karate in Belen since 1988.
Their children are the late USAF Capt. Tamara Long-Archuleta, who was killed in action in Afghanastan in March 2003, and Michael Long, of Belen.
Richard and Cindy both grew up in households of career U.S. Navy fathers, and moved around a lot.
They wanted to live and raise their family in one place, and that turned out to be Belen. They have lived here since 1978.
